CRICKET: Bangor keep up title pace after victory; But Park stay hot on leaders' heels.

CHAMPIONS Bangor kept their noses in front in the Readers Romida North Wales North Wales (known in some archaic texts as Northgalis) is the northernmost unofficial region of Wales, bordered to the south by Mid Wales and to the east by England.  League Premier Division with a seven wicket victory at relegated Dolgellau.

The title is now a three-horse race with two matches to play and only five points between the leading trio of teams.

Put in,Dolgellau were dismissed for 106 off 48 overs (captain Phil Leeds 19, Rick Golder 17,Lyndon Nicholas 16no) as Peter Banham bagged 4-25 off 15 overs, including seven maidens, Glyn Hemsworth 2- 24 off 10.3,and Hefin Lewis 2-17 offeight.

Marchwiel-Wrexham's title hopes were virtually dashed by a 27-run defeat at St Asaph.

Chris Owen, the Saints' 16-year-old pace bowler took 7-14 off six overs and was twice on a hat-trick as the visitors were dismissed for 86 in 24 overs (Liam Murphy 2-12).

There were seven ducks as Chris Campbell made 37 and Neil Pearson 29.

This was in response to St Asaph's modest total of 113 off 55 overs after they were put in (Dave North 20,Murphy 18, Gareth Ryan 12) as Campbell pocketed 4- 29 off 13.4overs,Tim Woodruff 2-17 off 15,and Pearson 2- 14 off 10 in a 24-4 split.

Saturday's success lifted Pontblyddyn above the seasiders into fifth place in the league table.
