CRICKET: BETTER LATE.


Coundon Court were crowned the 2003 Coventry Schools Cricket champions after beating Bablake by 29 runs - a year after the tie should have taken place.

Due to bad weather the final was held over until this summer and it proved a good move for the Coundon kids as they overcame their city rivals to secure the trophy they last won in 2000.

Batting first, Coundon made 150-6 from their 30 overs, opener Jamie Philips cracking a splendid unbeaten 71 while Oliver Hives (26) and Darren Jackson Darren Jackson (born 25 July 1966 in Edinburgh) is a former Scottish professional footballer. Career
Jackson played for Meadowbank Thistle, Newcastle United, Dundee United, Hibernian, Celtic, Coventry City, Hearts, Livingston, St. Johnstone and Clydebank.
