Byline: The Register-Guard

Creswell High School will hold its graduation ceremony June 8. The commencement speakers will be teacher David Nickelson and graduating senior Steven Shrives.

Jacque Robertson will be the speaker during a baccalaureate service A baccalaureate service is an American event which features a speech or series of speeches given to a graduating senior class from a college or high school. The speeches are often, but not necessarily, of a religious nature, almost invariably Christian.  Tuesday at New Hope Baptist Church.

Class valedictorian Bobbi Harrold is the daughter of Max and Cindy Harrold. She plans to attend Lane Community College and then transfer to Oregon State University Oregon State University, at Corvallis; land-grant and state supported; coeducational; chartered 1858 as Corvallis College, opened 1865. In 1868 it was designated Oregon's land-grant agricultural college and was taken over completely by the state in 1885.  to study animal science. Harrold served as student body vice president and competed in cross country, basketball and track. She was a member of the Key Club and the National Honor Society The National Honor Society (NHS), established in 1921, is a recognition program for American high school students who show achievement in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. , and was a peer tutor A peer tutor is anyone who is of a similar status as the person being tutored. In an undergraduate institution this would usually be other undergraduates, as distinct from the graduate students who may be teaching the writing classes. .
