Crenshaw High School Crenshaw High School is a secondary school located in South Los Angeles, California.

The school first opened in 1968 and currently enrolls an average of 2,600 students.
 continues to be the nemesis of Mater Dei Mater Dei is Latin for "Mother of God", referring to the Virgin Mary. The term has been used to name various institutions, often Catholic, including:

  • Mater Dei College, Western Australia

Two of the most successful high school boys' basketball programs in Southern California Southern California, also colloquially known as SoCal, is the southern portion of the U.S. state of California. Centered on the cities of Los Angeles and San Diego, Southern California is home to nearly 24 million people and is the nation's second most populated region,  met for the fourth time in the Southern Regionals Division I state title game.

Mater Dei 48, Buena 40: In a rematch of last week's Southern Section Division I-A final, Mater Dei (29-3) turned the tables on Buena behind 19 points by Melody Peterson.

Buena (30-2) was hurt when 6-2 center Nicole Greathouse picked up her fourth foul early in the third quarter. Ashley Jackson and Christie Erickson each scored eight points for Buena.

Woodbridge 53, Brea Olinda 45: Melanie Pearson had 23 points and 14 rebounds as Woodbridge (31-2) jumped out to a 16-2 advantage and never trailed in the Division II final.

Valley Christian 69, San Ynez Valley 65: Kristi Rohr's 25 points helped the Lady Crusaders (31-0) remain unbeaten and win the Division IV championship at Cal State Fullerton.

Mission Prep 66, Julian 48: Anna Li Epperson scored 26 points and Mary Mott had 22 for the Royals in a Division V game at Cal State Fullerton.
