Every year, the Lone Star Chapter holds annual competitions for Online Communication, Technical Art, and Technical Publications. Each submission is evaluated and rated on the writing, graphics, copy edition, and overall integration of the document. Each distinguished award winner is then submitted to the society-level competition for judging.

Informational materials are designed to attract potential buyers while providing information about a technical or scientific subject, product, service, or organization. The materials must persuade the audience favorably fa·vor·a·ble
