The present rescue and rehabilitation centre at Garristown, Co Dublin, has looked after a range of animals including otters, foxes, wild birds, and even a tiger. The ISS also gives talks to schools and this educational facility will expand with the move to the new centre in Balbriggan. A spokesman said: "We rehabilitate injured and orphaned seals and undertake fund-raising and educational activities to raise awareness of their plight.
