CREATOR OF ZEN INTERGALACTIC NINJA SAYS
U.S. AND JAPAN SHOULD WORK TOGETHER
NEW YORK, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The creator of the biggest hit at the Toy Fair here says it's time for America and Japan to work closely together, to save the environment.
"It's no coincidence that Zen bears the name of the popular Eastern philosophy," said Steve Stern.
"Zen is above all a very down-to-earth philosophy, and highly reverent of nature," he went on.
Stern spoke at the offices of the Just Toys company, which has unveiled its line of environmentally-themed Zen Intergalactic Ninja action figures. The toy line features Recycled Heroes including Can-It and Bottle Bandit, who defend the earth against such baddies as Lord Contaminous, the king of pollution, and his followers.
Just Toys was granted the master toy license for Zen from Surge Entertainment -- the same people who marketed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Stern said, "The U.S. and Japan are two of the greatest powers in history. With many of our finest scientific and technical minds, they need to pool their resources to save planet Earth."
Positioned as "the next Turtles" by the major trade publication, TOY & HOBBY WORLD, Zen made his first live appearance on Monday. At a press conference on Fifth Avenue, he delivered a cautionary message about the environment to the peoples of earth.
