CRASHES LEAVE TWO DEAD UNRELATED COLLISIONS OCCUR HOURS APART IN A.V.

LANCASTER - Two men, one from Visalia and the other from Lancaster, were killed in two separate traffic collisions that occurred about three hours apart.

Gurdarshan Singh, 46, of Visalia was killed about 8:30 p.m. Sunday when he ran a stop sign at Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. It runs from Tunnel Station near the north limit of the City of Los Angeles, where it intersects with San Fernando Road and Foothill Boulevard, as well as Interstate 5, and continues north to Mojave, mostly paralleling  and Avenue G and collided with a pickup truck, authorities said.

Gilbert Heath, 41, of Lancaster was killed about 11:30 p.m. when he lost control of his pickup truck and crashed into a tree, authorities said.

Estrada suffered major injuries and was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center Providence Holy Cross Medical Center is a hospital in Mission Hills, California, USA. The hospital has 254 beds, and is part of Providence Health & Services. History  in Mission Hills, where he was reported Monday to be in fair condition, hospital officials said.

Sheriff's deputies said they responded to a report of a traffic collision that occurred at 11:30 p.m. in the 8500 block of East Avenue K.

Heath was heading west on Avenue K when his 2001 Ford truck veered left and hit a large cottonwood tree on the south side of the road, deputies said.

Deputies said Heath died on impact and that excessive speed appeared to have been a factor in the crash.
