CRASH KILLS MIAMI MAN.

A Florida man died Saturday after the motorcycle motorcycle, motor vehicle whose design is based on the bicycle. The German inventor Gottlieb Daimler is generally credited with building the first practical motorcycle in 1885. Authorities on Saturday withheld the name of the victim - a 24-year-old Miami resident - pending notification of his family.

The collision happened at 2:36 p.m. The victim was riding on the back of a motorcycle driven by Ernest B. Christian, 21, of Prescott, Ariz. Officers said the motorcycle crossed a double yellow line in the road while trying to pass other vehicles.

The motorcycle collided with the left front side of the truck and became stuck beneath it, authorities said.

The Miami man was pronounced dead at the scene. Christian was taken to UCLA Medical Center UCLA Medical Center is a hospital located on the campus of the University of California, Los Angeles in Los Angeles, California. It is rated as one of the top three hospitals in the United States and is the top hospital on the West Coast according to US News & World Report. , where he was listed in stable condition, with a broken left leg, Saturday night.
