officers said Fernandez and Perez got into an altercation Saturday at Palmdale's Four Points area after Fernandez parked his pickup truck behind Perez's car and refused to move it.

Perez backed his car into Fernandez's truck with Fernandez inside, the CHP said, and drove off onto Highway 138. Fernandez followed and his truck hit Perez's car in the rear, the CHP said. When Fernandez passed Perez and pulled in front, the CHP said, Perez's car rammed Fernandez's truck, the CHP said.

As the two vehicles entered Littlerock, they were driving one behind the other in the left-turn lane. Fernandez steered into the opposite lane to avoid a pickup truck driven by Carvel carvel: see caravel.  Brown, 58, of Lancaster, but Perez hit the truck head-on, the CHP said.

Witnesses to the original argument followed Fernandez's truck after the crash and he was ultimately stopped by a CHP officer, officials said.
