CRAIN COMMUNICATIONS ACQUIRES MEXICAN BUSINESS PUBLICATIONS.Crain Communications (Detroit, MI) has entered into the Latin American market with the purchase of three business publications in Mexico. No terms for the deal was given. The acquired titles, purchased from Editorial Urbano (Mexico City Mexico City Spanish Ciudad de México City (pop., 2000: city, 8,605,239; 2003 metro. area est., 18,660,000), capital of Mexico. Located at an elevation of 7,350 ft (2,240 m), it is officially coterminous with the Federal District, which occupies 571 sq mi ), include the weekly El Asesor de Mexico and the bi-weekly El Asesor de Monterey, tabloids which cover local business news and developments in Mexico City and Monterey, respectively, and Velocidad Internet, a bimonthly bi·month·ly adj. 1. The Spanish-language publications are the first Cram products not published in English. The local news tabloids will become a part of Grain's regional business publications group, a unit that includes Crain's Detroit Business, Grain's Chicago Business, Grain's New York New York, state, United States New York, Middle Atlantic state of the United States. It is bordered by Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and the Atlantic Ocean (E), New Jersey and Pennsylvania (S), Lakes Erie and Ontario and the Canadian province of Business and Grain's Cleveland Business.
