Craig Douglas Bellamy (born July 13 1979 in Canton, Cardiff) is a Welsh international footballer. He currently plays for West Ham United in the Premier League.

Pictures appeared to show the Manchester City striker throwing a punch as the supporter grappled with stewards following Michael Owen's late winner for United. The man was m an was eventually overpowered by security staff and led away.

Asked about the incident, City boss Mark Hughes said: "Somebody told me about that but I haven't see it.

"But the guy shouldn't have been on the pitch, that's just not acceptable.

"I seem to remember Brian Clough clipping someone around the earhole because he was being daft and maybe that's what Craig has done. I'm sure people will make a nuisance about it."

Bellamy is no stranger to controversy and in February 2007 was fined two weeks' wages while a Liverpool player for attacking teammate John Arne Riise John Arne Semundseth Riise (born September 24, 1980 in Ă…lesund) is a Norwegian football player who currently plays for Liverpool F.C. Riise is renowned for the shooting power and accuracy of his favoured left foot, as well as his excellent physical conditioning, most notably his  with a golf club during a team bonding session in Portugal .

Hughes confirmed City substitute Javier Garrido had been struck by a coin thrown from the home section of the crowd at half-time.

Former Old Trafford striker Carlos Tevez, booed throughout the match by United fans following his move to Eastlands, may have been the intended target.

Garrido was unhurt, although the Football Association are sure to be less than impressed with the two incidents.
