 Technology Inc.*, Pleasanton, Calif., is being awarded a $49,750,000 ceiling priced indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide supplies and services to perform service-life extension of avionics avionics (ā'vēŏn`ĭks), electronic instruments used in air or space flight; also the design and production of such instruments. Early planes had few instruments, but as aviation and aircraft became more complex, so did instrumentation.  legacy equipment utilizing the Service-Life Extension of Avionics Legacy Equipment with Guaranteed System (SEALEGS) software. The effort includes development and demonstration of innovative system-on-a-chip technologies to solve the problems of a broad spectrum of legacy or future weapons systems applications, such as aircraft mission computers, flight control computers, missile processor and control systems, radar processors and test equipment. Work will be performed in Pleasanton, Calif. (90%), and Patuxent River The Patuxent River is a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay in the state of Maryland. There are three main river drainages for central Maryland: the Potomac River to the west passing through Washington D.C. , Md. (10%), and is expected to be completed in August 2004. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured using the Small Business Innovative Research Program solicitation solicitation
