Veteran Communications Executive Brings 18 Years of Experience to

Rapidly Expanding Service Network Control Software Company

CPLANE, Inc., a developer of leading service network control software solutions, announced today that Catharine A. Trebnick has been hired as Senior Vice President of Marketing. Trebnick will oversee all of CPLANE's marketing functions and direct the company's product management efforts.

Trebnick brings more than 18 years of experience in the communications industry communications industry, broadly defined, the business of conveying information. Although communication by means of symbols and gestures dates to the beginning of human history, the term generally refers to mass communications.  to this position. Most recently, she was the founder and principle of Technology Marketing Strategies, an independent consulting business oriented towards clients that require next generation service definition, development, and implementation in the communications industry.

 Communications as Senior Vice President, Products and Technology, where she planned the migration of ICG's legacy voice and data network to an IP-based network. Trebnick started her career at AT&T, moved to Lucent Technologies at the trivestiture, and held various executive and management positions in product management and marketing. At Lucent Technologies, she led the development of their data strategy initiative, and was instrumental in creating, developing and launching Lucent's Softswitch Business Unit, and served as General Manager.

Additionally, Trebnick was a principal founder of the Softswitch Consortium which leads the development of standards for open IP-based networks; serves on NexTone's Advisory Board; is a member of the TIA (1) (Telecommunications Industry Association, Arlington, VA, www.tiaonline.org) A membership organization founded in 1988 that sets telecommunications standards worldwide. It was originally an EIA working group that was spun off and merged with the U.S.  Futures Working Group; founded Colorado's Women Business Exchange in Telecommunications which provides women between the director and CEO level with networking opportunities and professional support; and, serves on several startups' Advisory Boards.
