An increased number of CPA financial planners are applying for the PFS credential because they understand how it can enhance their practice and grow their revenues. Recently, the AICPA reduced the time it takes to complete the PFS credential's application process by creating a concise two-page form. While the requirements necessary to achieve the credential remain unchanged, the new streamlined application requires about a quarter of the applicant's time to complete as the previous application. Eight weeks after rolling out the new application process, the AICPA received more than 200 new applicants.
