CP Secure Introduces Real-Time Gateway Anti-Malware Appliance for Enterprise-Class Organizations; Stops Spyware, Viruses, and Blended Threats at the Internet Gateway.

CUPERTINO, Calif. -- CP Secure, Inc. (http://www.cpsecure.com), a leading innovator of enterprise-class anti-malware solutions, announced today the release of the Content Security Gateway(TM) (CSG CSG - constructive solid geometry ) 1500 version 2.0 anti-malware appliance. The CSG 1500 provides comprehensive perimeter protection against spyware, viruses, worms, and other malware that attack through high-volume Web and e-mail traffic. Today's malware programs attack in a blended fashion. Malware no longer consists of only viruses and worms, but now includes many varieties of spyware.

The CSG 1500 solution uses a patent-pending stream-based scanning architecture that enables real-time scanning real-time scanning

It includes web traffic, which is the amount of that data that is related to the World Wide Web, along with the traffic from other major uses of the Internet, such as electronic mail and peer-to-peer networks. , concurrently receiving, scanning, and outputting the traffic, to ensure that network performance is not degraded. The appliance protects networks of several thousand computers and scans Web traffic at a rate of over 70 Mb per second and e-mail traffic at a rate of 460,000 messages per hour. The CSG series has been certified by ICSA See TruSecure.  Labs to detect all currently active viruses/malware.

"Although enterprise-class organizations have largely adopted desktop and e-mail anti-virus, many continue to be infected by spyware and worms that attack through real-time Web traffic," said David Lu, president and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of CP Secure, Inc. "The CSG 1500 provides comprehensive, real-time anti-malware security and extends the CSG product series to enterprise-class organizations that require higher performance for their larger networks."

The CSG 1500 provides: high-performance inbound and outbound HTTP, HTTPS (1) (HyperText Transport Protocol Secure) The protocol for accessing a secure Web server. Using HTTPS in the URL instead of HTTP directs the message to a secure port number rather than the default Web port number of 80. , SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) The standard e-mail protocol on the Internet and part of the TCP/IP protocol suite, as defined by IETF RFC 2821. The CSG 1500 maximizes the effectiveness of organizations' layered defenses by complementing their existing perimeter, internal network, and endpoint security products. It works in conjunction with connection-based security products such as firewalls and intrusion detection and prevention systems by providing processing-intensive, real-time anti-malware content security. The CSG 1500 also complements CP Secure's recently announced WormSecure(TM) 500 appliance, which defends internal networks against outbreaks of zero-day and known worms. The CSG appliance also serves as the first line of defense to endpoint anti-malware products in a defense-in-depth strategy.

Availability and Pricing

The CSG 1500 version 2.0 appliance will be available at the end of April 2006, and is priced at US$23,995 per unit. The simplified per unit licensing includes hardware, all software applications for an unlimited number of users, and the first year of standard support.
