Effective November 15, 2005, or as contracts permit, the following price increases will go into effect:

--CMC list and off-list prices will be raised 7-10%

--Pectin and refined carrageenan will be raised 4-6% on list prices

--Biogums: (xanthan gum, gellan gum, welan gum and diutan) will be raised 5-10% on list and off-list prices.

"We have aggressively pursued multiple initiatives to reduce costs, however we continue to face strong increases in raw material, energy and freight costs," says Bruce Dructor, Vice President, Operations & Business Management. "The price increases allow CP Kelco to offset some rising costs while continuing to invest in industry-leading innovation and technology development."
