Key stats: Six of Rodney Peete's 14 interceptions have come on third-down passes. Of Michael Irvin's 111 receptions, 88 have been for first downs.

Comments: What happens if there are 2 minutes to play, the score is tied and the Cowboys have fourth-and-1 at their own 29? OK, enough already. No one is making guarantees this week, but the Eagles are huge underdogs heading into Texas Stadium. They face a well rested Cowboys team that hasn't had to deal with any distractions for a couple of weeks. Dallas has the talent, the experience and the motivation to beat Philadelphia. They'll get the job done.

Indianapolis (9-7) vs. Kansas City (13-3), 1 p.m. Channel 4:

Key stats: The Chiefs' average offensive drive starts at their 32.3 yard line - the best in the NFL. Jim Harbaugh's average yard per pass in the fourth quarter is a league-best 8.18 yards and he has thrown seven TDs and just one interception in the period.

Comments: Does Indianapolis have any more rabbits stuffed in its hat? Zack Crockett sprang from the bench last week and shocked the Chargers. After watching that performance last week, the Chiefs have something in store for the Colts. Defensive end Neil Smith won't allow Harbaugh to run around willy-nilly and find receivers who are roaming around free. Arrowhead Stadium is a tough place to play, as is evident by the Chiefs perfect record (8-0) at home this season. The crowd is noisy and can disrupt opposing offenses. This is the Chiefs' first step on the way to the Super Bowl. They won't stumble.

Game score: Kansas City 29-14.

Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator Steve Crosby has resigned to look for another job. Crosby had been with the Browns for six seasons. His current contract expires March 1.

Browns owner Art Modell told The Sun of Baltimore that Crosby telephoned him Friday and asked for the opportunity to seek other positions. Modell said he agreed.

"Right now I have no hint of who the new offensive coordinator will be," Modell said.

Crosby's departure is expected to be the first of several from the coaching staff and front office. Defensive coordinator Rich Venturi's position was also being reviewed, a team official told the newspaper.

The Indianapolis Colts announced that running back Marshall Faulk underwent successful arthroscopic surgery Friday as doctors removed two loose particles from his left knee.

Faulk, who led the team in rushing and receptions this season, will not play in today's AFC divisional playoff game.

Giants quarterback Dave Brown will have arthroscopic surgery on his left knee this week, and is expected to need two to four months to recuperate.
