Done up in the theme ``It's Udderly Magic,'' more than 100 floats, car clubs, equestrian units and youth groups rolled down Lancaster Boulevard Saturday in the annual Antelope Valley This article is about the Los Angeles County region. The Sweepstakes award went to the float entered by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department This article is about the Los Angeles County Sherriff's Department, not to be confused with the smaller Los Angeles County Police

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD) is a local law enforcement agency that serves Los Angeles County, California.
 drug-abuse education unit Success Through Awareness and Resistance.

The STAR float depicted a cow magician - actually a deputy's daughter in a cow costume - who made a deputy wearing a farmer's costume pop out of a giant hat. Deputies in farm clothes posed as audience for the bovine magician.

The Theme award went to Cub Scout Pack 146, and the Queen's Trophy to the Filipino-American Association. The President's Trophy was awarded to Antelope Valley Florist and the Judge's Trophy to Cub Scout Pack 641.

Other parade winners, by category, included:

Color guard: California 944 Air Force Junior ROTC, 1st; Antelope Valley High School Antelope Valley High School is located in Lancaster, California and is part of the Antelope Valley Union High School District. It was founded in 1912[1]. It is located in the Mojave Desert.  Cadet Corps, 2nd; and Palmdale Veteran Color Guard, 3rd.

Marching units: Cub Scout Pack 68, 1st; Lancaster Unique High Steppers, 2nd; and Yin's Tae Kwon Do tae kwon do

Korean martial art resembling karate. It is characterized by the use of high standing and jump kicks as well as punches and is practiced for sport, self-defense, and spiritual development. In sparring, blows are stopped just short of contact.

Small floats: American Medical Response American Medical Response, Inc. (AMR) is the largest private ambulance provider in the United States. AMR and EmCare are wholly owned subsidiaries of EMSC L.P., an emergency management company held by the investment firm Onex. Large floats: Grace Lutheran School Lutheran schools and education were a priority for Lutherans who emigrated to the United States and Australia from Germany and Scandinavia. One of the first things they did was to create schools for their children. , 1st; Quartz Hill High School Quartz Hill High School is a public, co-educational high school located in Lancaster, California. Founded in 1964, it is the third oldest comprehensive high school in the Antelope Valley High School District (AVHSD).  cheerleaders Notable cheerleaders

Decorated automobiles groups: Saturn Car Club, 1st, and High Desert Democratic Party, 2nd.

Junior misses: Little Miss Antelope Valley and Little Misses, 1st; Antelope Valley Junior Miss, 2nd; and Junior Miss High Desert, 3rd.

Miscellaneous: Antelope Valley Shrine Club, 1st; Antelope Valley Tailwinds, 2nd; and Hi Desert Clowns, 3rd.

Equestrians, first-place winners: California Back Country Horsemen Antelope Valley Unit, Carniceria Gonzalez, Sandra Davidson, Kim Hickman, Julie Jaegers, KC's Classic Percheron Hitch, Quartz Hill Veterinary Clinic, Riders of Lake Los Angeles, and Wells Fargo Bank.
