MICKY ADAMS Michael Richard "Micky" Adams (born 8 November 1961 in Sheffield) is a professional football manager in England and former player. Playing career
Adams began his playing career at Gillingham and also had spells at Coventry City, Leeds United and Southampton.
believes the future is bright for Coventry City who boast two of the best young prospects in the Championship.

The Sky Blues boss is confident that Isaac Osbourne and Stuart Giddings have got what it takes to go all the way to the top and is delighted that he can help nurture their talents in the coming seasons.

"Isaac and Stuart, for their ages, are probably the best young players I have seen for a long time," he said. "I rate them that highly.

"Making it at the highest level is a big, big ask but yes, why not? Potentially, the club has got two fantastic young players."

Midfielder Osbourne was set to get another taste of first-team action at Upton Park Coordinates:

but full-back Giddings is out for the rest of the season after undergoing an ankle operation last week.

"Temperament-wise, Isaac has got everything," said Adams - "he won't let anyone down. It is not often you get kids who are not fazed by the game but he's one of them, so Steve Ogrizovic Steve Ogrizovic (from Serbo-Croat: Ogrizović) (born September 12, 1957 in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, UK, was a goalkeeper who played for Coventry City from 1984 to 2000.  and Brian Borrows have done brilliantly well with him at the academy.

"He is level-headed and works hard. I have given him little tastes of the first team, putting him in and taking him out, which I think I have got to do to protect him.

"He is a little bit shy but that isn't a bad thing. Normally kids who get a little taste like he has had have their heads in the clouds, but he just gets on with his job.

"So he is a terrific prospect and at 18, to be in a Championship side, is terrific."

Meanwhile, reserve striker Craig Reid has been voted 'Young Player of the Year' by the Sky Blue Trust.

The award, previously given by the Association of Coventry City Supporters Clubs and Groups, has been made for Coventry-born Reid's 'consistently fine performances for both the reserves and academy teams'.

Reid, who was recently rewarded with a first team squad number by Micky Adams, is out of contract in the summer and still waiting to hear if he has done enough this season to earn a new deal.

Giddings was second in the poll - carried out by the Coventry supporter websites and a postal vote - with Eddie Johnson third .
