COURT-ORDERED DRUG REHAB HAS SHEEN'S CAREER ON HOLD.

Byline: Marilyn Beck & Stacy Jenel Smith

Charlie Sheen reports to court today to learn whether he must remain in the residential drug rehab program he started in May.

Sheen, who was put on two years' probation in mid-1997 for attacking his then-girlfriend, was ordered into a drug-treatment program after violating probation. That happened in May of this year, when he was hospitalized for a drug overdose, then twice left a drug-rehab center he had checked into after his overdose.

A Sheen associate tells us the actor has been getting about town by day, but must return to the rehab facility at night. How his escapades will affect his career is yet to be seen. He has no assignments pending, but reportedly is considering a project for early '99.

And, in case you care, Sheen will talk about his bad-boy behavior with Charles Gibson next month, in an interview for ``20/20.''

Another battle royal

Is Monaco's Prince Albert Prince Albert, city (1991 pop. 34,181), central Sask., Canada, on the North Saskatchewan River. Prince Albert is a commercial and distribution center for a lumbering, gold- and uranium-mining, and mixed-farming area. There are wood-products and meatpacking industries. It was founded in 1866 as a Presbyterian mission to the Cree. It is the gateway to Prince Albert National Park, to the northwest. staying away from sunny California out of fear of being ordered to take a blood test? That's the picture painted in ``The Royal House of Monaco - Dynasty of Glamour, Tragedy and Scandal,'' John Glatt's St. Martin's Press tome that's due to hit stores this week. Glatt tells the tale of secretary Tamara Rotollo, who allegedly had a brief affair with the prince in the early '90s - the book contains a photo of the pair aboard Albert's yacht - and says he fathered her daughter, Jazmin Grace. Rotollo claims Albert won't have anything to do with her. Nevertheless, Rotollo ``dresses her daughter like a princess,'' reports Glatt, who says he conducted more than 100 interviews with royal family members, their associates and many of the late Princess Grace's friends for his book. Glatt, in fact, says he spent an hour interviewing Prince Albert, but he declined to comment on the Rotollo matter.

Two for the show

Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan are spending the week in Hollywood, where she's taping the pilot for her ABC ``Artists & Writers'' sitcom, and he's supervising the action as exec-producer of the show in which Tracy plays a New York advertising exec. If the network gives a thumbs up on ``A&W,'' it will be produced in Manhattan, where the Foxes live with their three children, and where Michael shoots his ``Spin City'' sitcom.

Kim Cattrall and bridegroom Mark Levinson spent the weekend moving into their honeymoon home. They wed on the lawn of the East Hampton residence Sept. 4, when Kim had a long weekend off from Montreal shooting of the TNT drama ``36 Hours To Die,'' with Treat Williams. Since then, the home has been going through renovations. Cattrall met Levinson, a designer of audio and visual equipment for screening rooms, in January, when she moved from L.A. to New York for shooting of her HBO series ``Sex and the City.'' And talk about a hurried wedding! Mark's daughter was leaving for college in Spain, they didn't want to marry without her present - and they staged a ceremony with only a day's notice. ``And with my two dogs for bridemaids, and with Mark playing `Body and Soul' on the trumpet,'' she reveals.

Celebrity circuit

Larry and Maj Hagman are back from vacation in England, where they attended the Royal Command Performance of ``Primary Colors'' a few weeks ago. The Hagmans are friends of the young Lord Mountbatten Mountbatten: see Battenberg, family.

, and spent some time with him and his wife at their country home. Brits still remember Larry as dastardly J.R. of ``Dallas,'' and he found himself surrounded by fans at several junctures during the trip. Of course, Larry drew raves in the U.K. - as he did here - for his flawless ``Primary Colors'' performance as a troubled politico. Whether he'll be remembered by Oscar voters remains to be seen.

Meredith Monroe, who joined the cast of WB's ``Dawson's Creek'' this season as Andie McPhee, won't be going home for Thanksgiving. Instead, ``home'' will be coming to her. The show shoots in Wilmington, N.C., and it's there that the 21-year-old actress will prepare a holiday feast for her mother, who's jetting in from L.A., and Meredith's boyfriend, a New York massage therapist, who's been visiting Meredith for the last few weeks.
