COURSON CONNECTION SENIOR-CITIZEN COMPLEX ON THE RISE IN A.V.

PALMDALE -- An $11.8 million 75-unit senior-citizen apartment complex is going up at the southeast corner of Avenue Q-10 and Ninth Street East.

The complex is the first project in the Courson Connection, a revitalization re·vi·tal·ize

To impart new life or vigor to: plans to revitalize inner-city neighborhoods; tried to revitalize a flagging economy.
 project intended to boost the city's downtown and provide affordable housing for seniors.

Replacing aging homes and small apartment complexes, when it is done the project will link the Civic Center and Courson Park and will contain some 300 apartment units, a new senior center and a 2.5-acre park.

All of the buildings will be done in the Spanish-Mediterranean style.
