COUPLE KILLED AFTER CAR RUNS STOP SIGN.

LANCASTER - A Lancaster couple died Tuesday night when their speeding compact car ran a stop sign, narrowly missed another vehicle and crashed into a tree.

Saadd's car had been traveling east about 9 a.m. Wednesday on Avenue H when it failed to stop for a stop sign at 50th Street East, CHP officers said. His car collided with the southbound big rig hauling trailers full of sand. The truck driver was not injured.
