COUNTY PLANS NUMEROUS SCHOOL-SAFETY TRAFFIC MEASURES.

For school safety's sake, lay off the gas pedal while cruising down Sierra Highway Sierra Highway is a road in Southern California, United States. It runs from Tunnel Station near the north limit of the City of Los Angeles, where it intersects with San Fernando Road and Foothill Boulevard, as well as Interstate 5, and continues north to Mojave, mostly paralleling .

County officials approved the change this week and are seeking approval to implement a radar patrol in the area, he said, anticipating that it will take effect in four to six weeks.

Parking on either side of Park Vista Drive between Hillcrest Parkway will be prohibited from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., when school is in session. The new parking regulation affects a stretch 150 feet south of the Hillcrest Parkway curb line on the west side, as well as one spanning 115 feet south of the curb line on the east side, officials said.

In Stevenson Ranch, stop signs are slated for installment in the westbound lane at the Poe Parkway/Mallory Drive intersection and in the northbound lane at the Faulkner Drive/Mallory Drive intersection. Other stop signs will be erected at the Carroll Lane/Faulkner Drive intersection.

Also in Stevenson Ranch, a school bus loading zone will be created by the start of the school year on the east side of Poe Parkway near Mallory Drive, officials say.
