The fingerprint match led investigators to hospital records that listed the woman's husband and mother. Investigators then searched for the mother but learned she had died several months ago. The woman was struck about 11:37 p.m. Tuesday on Sierra Highway just north of Avenue L. Motorist Rolanda Simon, 31, of Palmdale was driving north on Sierra Highway when the pedestrian ``walked or ran into the roadway,'' a coroner's report said.
