COUNTY HEARING SET ON DEERLAKE PLANS.

Los Angeles County supervisors set a public hearing Tuesday for March 23 on a controversial plan to build hundreds of homes on 231 acres in the foothills north of Chatsworth.

The supervisors could overrule The refusal by a judge to sustain an objection set forth by an attorney during a trial, such as an objection to a particular question posed to a witness. To make void, annul, supersede, or reject through a subsequent decision or action.  the county's Regional Planning Commission, which issued a tentative tract map earlier this month for the 388-home Deerlake Ranch development.

During the past two years, residents in the unincorporated Chatsworth area have raised concerns about the closeness of the homes, their impact on neighbors' views and the loss of open space.

``Because there is a fair amount of community interest in this, we want to take a look at certain issues to make sure all potential impacts associated with that project are addressed,'' said Paul Novak, planning deputy to Supervisor Michael D.
