CALABASAS - Expanding its advertising in the Latino community, Countrywide Financial Countrywide Financial Corporation (NYSE: CFC) is a diversified financial marketing and service holding company engaged primarily in residential mortgage banking and related businesses.  Corp. has become a sponsor of a Spanish language Spanish language, member of the Romance group of the Italic subfamily of the Indo-European family of languages (see Romance languages). The official language of Spain and 19 Latin American nations, Spanish is spoken as a first language by about 330 million persons  reality home improvement program.

The show, ``Lo Dejo en Tus Manos'' (``I'm Leaving It in Your Hands'') focuses on Latino families in the Miami area getting one or two rooms remodeled, said Rodolfo Saenz, executive vice president of multicultural mul·ti·cul·tur·al

The program airs Sunday mornings Sunday Morning may refer to:
  • "Sunday Morning (radio program)", a Canadian radio program formerly aired on CBC Radio One
  • CBS News Sunday Morning, a television news program on CBS in the United States
  • Sunday Morning (TBS TV series)
 on Telemundo, a major U.S. Spanish-language television network.

Countrywide's $500,000 commitment to advertise on 13 shows also includes a $10,000 donation to one family that appeared on the program and a $10,000 prize that will be awarded to the winner of an essay contest on why homeownership is a dream.

Lowe's is the show's main sponsor, Saenz said.

``It's a very unique, innovative way to present Countrywide that's (also) very consistent with our mission to bring homeownership and make families proud to be homeowners,'' he said.

Countrywide also pitches the difference between loan products, and the message here and in other ads targeted to Latinos is designed to increase awareness of homeownership opportunities within the Spanish-speaking community.

Representatives of Telemundo, based in Hialeah, did not return calls seeking comment.
