COUNTRY LEGEND.THE song Goin' Out the Same you Came In was the runway Country hit of the year 2005 here at home. It provided Big Tom with his biggest song Since Four Country Roads in the early 1980s. With a strong anti-materiasltic message, it hit a chord the hearts of many and the song title found its way into common usage in a variety of ways. Max D Barnes composed the song. He was born in July 24, 36 in Hardscratch, Iowa but wup in Nebraska. His first major break came 1973 when Charley Pride corded two of his songs after he moved to Nashville. Max, who died of pneumonia at the Baptist Hospital in Nashville in January, 2004 was one of Nashville's most respected songwriters and a favourite writing partner of the great Harlan Howard.
