COUNCILMAN'S UNEXPECTED VISITOR LEAVES CALLING CAR.

An unlicensed teen driver crashed his father's car Thursday Thursday: see week.  morning into the home of his neighbor - Santa Clarita Santa Clarita, city (1990 pop. 110,642), Los Angeles co., S Calif., suburb 30 mi (48 km) NW of downtown Los Angeles, on the Santa Clara River; inc. 1987. Situated in the Santa Clara valley and nearby canyons, Santa Clarita includes the former towns of Canyon Country,  Councilman Frank Ferry.

The 17-year-old boy was moving the white Jetta when he inadvertently jerked the wheel, sending the Jetta into the rear of a parked car, then uncontrollably headed straight up Ferry's driveway.

Neighbor Sue Peters said she heard two thuds, ran outside, saw the Jetta in Ferry's driveway and ran inside to call 911.

When she came back out, she learned that her company car was the one that was hit. Peters also kept her sense of humor.

``I'm glad that's not my house right now,'' she said.
