GLENDALE - The city will install new lights along Honolulu Boulevard in the Montrose shopping district, the council voted Tuesday.

City officials would like to finish the project before the end of September, when the busiest season for festivals and holiday shopping will begin.

``It's going to be kind of a legacy kind of installation,'' said Dale Dawson, president of the association. ``We need to come out of the dark ages with your help with this project.''
