CORT Directions Unveils Workflow Management Paradigm for WebHRMS Solutions; First User-Configurable Automation Solution for HRMS Business Processes.

CORT Directions announced today a Workflow Management solution for its new WebHRMS product. The new Workflow technology is the first of its kind on the market, providing enterprises with a cost-effective, customizable HRMS system that will help save a substantial amount of time when conducting standard business processes.

CORT's Workflow Management solution automates the approval process for typical HR business processes such as salary increases, promotions and transfers. The new solution is part of CORT Directions' Enhanced HRMS Layer, an architecture allowing the firm's engineering group to build on top of traditional database, security and user interface layers.

Workflow Management allows organizations to easily build a template based on the business process and routing of a request:

-- Managers with the proper security level start the process by

selecting the Business Object needed, such as "Salary

Increase."

-- From there the manager completes the request description

(provides the new salary for the employee, for example) and

then attaches documentation to the request, such as the

employee's last performance review.

-- After the Business Object is sent, Workflow Management

intelligently routes the request to the proper employees for

approval. Approvers can accept, deny, or send the request back

for further explanation.

-- Once the Business Object has all the necessary approvals, the

new information is added to the CORT Directions WebHRMS. CORT

Directions has a future-dating feature allowing changes to be

entered with a future date. When that date arrives, the data

is updated in the database automatically. Business Objects can

use the future date functionality.

-- Approvers learn of requests in their queue by logging onto the

Workflow Management system or through email notification that

is triggered when a request needs approval. Managers traveling

away from the office can assign a temporary delegate to review

requests and make decisions in his or her absence. Workflow

Management has a provision to apply logic in the case of a

stalled Business Object, and the duration of the stall can be

determined by the manager.

-- If a request is not handled within a specified time (five

days, for example), the request can move along to the next

approver.

Workflow Management uses CORT Directions HRMS' robust security layer to limit access to the system according to the user's security level and which fields they have been designated access. Administrators for Workflow Management can be established to view all Business Objects in process, and managers can review their own requests to see the status.
