CORRECTIONS.Byline: The Register-Guard Ticket: The entertainment schedule for Peabody's Pub was omitted from Friday's newspaper. Kenny Reed will be featured tonight and Monday, Dan Henson on Tuesday, and John Crider on Wednesday (open mike night) and Thursday. Ticket: International folk dancing will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Campbell Senior Center. A calendar item on Page 24 gave an incorrect venue. Daybreak: A Random Fact appearing on Page B3 Friday was incomplete. In 1955, Quaker Oaks bought 19.11 acres in the Yukon Territory for $1,000 and included deeds for a square inch of the land inside its cereal boxes. The 21 million boxes disappeared from grocery shelves within weeks. The Canadian government seized the land in 1965 after no one paid the $37.20 in accrued property taxes. Daybreak: In Friday's People in the News package, The Associated Press erroneously reported that Ethan Hawke's next film is ``Before Sunset.'' Before that, he stars in ``Taking Lives,'' which opens March 19. News sources or readers who see errors in The Register-Guard are encouraged to call 485-1234 and ask for the News Department. |
