CORRECTIONS.

Byline: The Register-Guard

City/Region: Springfield City Councilor Tim Malloy announced his resignation from the council at a meeting Tuesday night. A story on Page D1 on Wednesday had the wrong day of the announcement.

City/Region: A typical student at the University of Oregon would pay an additional $600 in tuition over four years if the university imposes a $50-per-term tuition increase next year. An incorrect total was given in a story Wednesday on Page D1 that used a hypothetical amount to illustrate the relative effect of a tuition increase.

Sports: The University of Oregon men's pole vault record, established by freshman Tommy Skipper on Feb. 7 in an indoors meet at Nampa, Idaho, is 18 feet, 8 3/4 inches. Based on incorrect information provided by the UO, an erroneous mark was reported in Ron Bellamy's column Wednesday and in a story on Page D1 on Feb. 8.
