Byline: The Register-Guard

City/Region: A photo caption on Page D3 Friday misstated the name of a U.S. soldier from Junction City. Cpl. Christopher Kjos is serving in Iraq.

Front page: An article on Page A1 on Sunday incorrectly described the client for whom attorney Dave Jewett wrote an analysis on siting a hospital in Glenwood. Jewett's client was McKenzie-Willamette Regional Medical Center.

Front page: Bandon Police Chief Bob McBride was convicted on five misdemeanor hunting violations last fall. A story on Page A1 of Monday's paper gave an incorrect number.

Front page: Somebody leaked the Oregon quarter designs to The Statesman-Journal in Salem, but he or she wasn't necessarily from the state Treasury Department as a story reported on Page A1 Sunday. The Salem newspaper said it obtained the designs from an unidentified source.

News sources or readers who see errors in The Register-Guard are encouraged to call 485-1234 and ask for the News Department.
