CORRECTIONS AND CLARIFICATIONS.In the article by Todd, "Calculating Bone-Lead Measurement Variance" [EHP EHP abbr. 1. effective horsepower 2. electric horsepower 108:383-386 (2000)], two entries in Table 2 were incorrect. The corrected table is shown below. Table 2. The contribution to an expression for the covariance Covariance A measure of the degree to which returns on two risky assets move in tandem. A positive covariance means that asset returns move together. A negative covariance means returns vary inversely. from two terms, [MATHEMATICAL EXPRESSION A group of characters or symbols representing a quantity or an operation. See arithmetic expression. (a) Percentage contribution to the total covariance expression. In the June NIEHS NIEHS National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIH, DHHS) News article "NIEHS Investigates Arctic Health Issues" [EHP 108:A261], William Suk SUK Sveriges Unga Katoliker (Swedens Young Catholics) was incorrectly identified as the director of the Chemical Exposures and Molecular Biology molecular biology, scientific study of the molecular basis of life processes, including cellular respiration, excretion, and reproduction. The term molecular biology was coined in 1938 by Warren Weaver, then director of the natural sciences program at the Rockefeller Branch at the NIEHS. Suk's correct title is deputy director for program development in the NIEHS Division of Extramural extramural /ex·tra·mu·ral/ (-mur´il) situated or occurring outside the wall of an organ or structure. extramural situated or occurring outside the wall of an organ or structure.
