CORRECTION FROM SOURCE - RICH FIND FOR BIRIM GOLDFIELDS IN GHANA.

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NOVEMBER 13, 1995--BIRIM GOLDFIELDS INC.(CANADIAN DEALING NETWORK: BIRM BIRM.WT ) Birim Goldfields' Dunkwa property is living up to expectations. Assay results obtained for the remaining 13 holes of a recently announced (Nov. 7 1995) reverse-circulation drill programm on the Mampon prospect confirm the presence of an impressive width of gold-bearing sulphide mineralization containing several high-grade intersections.

Virtually continuous mineralization is encountered in a total of four successive holes spaced at 25 metre intervals along the same line and drilled to a vertical depth of 50 metres from surface. These latest results have allowed Birim to increase the true thickness of the gold mineralization from 21 metres grading 2.5 g/t Au, as announced last November 7th, to a true width now established at 45 metres grading 6.34 g/t Au. Of particular importance and indicative of the underlying potential of the Mampon prospect is the fact that the two central holes bottomed in high-grade gold mineralization (15.83 g/t Au over 13.0 metres and 14.77 g/t Au over 8.0 metres).

Two other series of holes were drilled 200 metres north and south of the discovery holes. The presence of steady low values in the northern section and the absence of values in the southern section would appear to indicate that the mineralization is contained in a northward plunging structure. This interpretation is consistent with the surface geochemical pattern and corresponds to the structural style of other mineralised zones encountered elsewhere on the Ashanti Belt.

Given the sulphide nature of the mineralization, Birim intends to proceed immediately with a follow-up diamond drilling program which will have as its objective the confirmation of values thus far obtained as well as the testing of the lateral and vertical extension of this impressive zone. This drilling program is slated to begin on the 14th of November and will include further diamond drill investigation of the adjacent Aboronye zone where a similar style of mineralization was previously reported (September 27, 1995).

The Company's Dunkwa Prospecting Licences cover a contiguous area of 230 sq.km. along the Ashanti Gold belt. The property straddles a 45 km strike zone of highly favourable geological formations and structures identical with those hosting the Ashanti Goldfields mine to the north and Gencor's Bogosu mine to the south.

The high grade intersections encountered in the present reverse circulation program consisted mostly of gold bearing sulphides, and as such, further work on these falls within the Joint-Venture and will be funded by Hemlo Gold.

As previously announced, Hemlo Gold has the right to acquire a 65 percent interest in the Dunkwa property by spending up to Cdn$7,000,000 over a period of four years. Furthermore, Hemlo Gold must purchase Cdn$150,000 worth of treasury shares of Birim in each of the four years and will acquire no interest until all financing obligations have been met. Birim is the operator during the exploration phase and has the option of being carried through to full feasibility.
