IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 19, 2003

In BW5272 issued Nov. 19, 2003: Third graph, fourth line of release should read xxx no earlier than Oct. 3, 2003 (sted no later than Oct. 3, 2003).

The corrected release reads:

 IDC, today announced a clarification to a press release dated Sept. 29, 2003, regarding its two- and three-year extended service plans (ESPs).

The company's dual ESPs are currently exclusive to eMachines' desktop PC owners only. In January 2004, eMachines plans to offer a Notebook and Screen Protection ESP (1) (Enhanced Service Provider) An organization that adds value to basic telephone service by offering such features as call-forwarding, call-detailing and protocol conversion.  for its notebook PC line, which are currently covered by a one-year parts and labor service plan.

As with the eMachines desktop ESPs, plans must be purchased within 90 days of the notebook's original purchase date. Therefore, consumers who have purchased eMachines notebooks -- M5305 and M5310, respectively -- no earlier than Oct. 3, 2003, will be eligible for the Notebook and Screen Protection ESP plans.
