") subsidiary in Scandiano, Italy has filed for renewal of its patented process for sanitizing of ground beef.

In the same announcement TCGI reported that its domestic subsidiary, Classica Microwave Technologies, Inc. will seek a US patent for the same process.

The Company's proprietary process is intended primarily for the institutional market, such as fast food restaurants, and caterers. The ground beef is processed in a bulk, non-packaged format through a three stage microwave heat treatment process, under pressure. This process has been successfully tested and proven to eliminate microbial microbial

The laboratory is supported by a full commercial kitchen that is used for the preparation of food products for testing in one of the Company's microwave heat processing systems. The laboratory has microwave systems capable of demonstrating pasteurization pasteurization (păs'chrĭzā`shən, -rīzā`shən), partial sterilization of liquids such as milk, orange juice, wine, and beer, as well as cheese, to destroy , sterilization, sanitizing and drying of food products. The process for the sanitizing of ground beef can be successfully demonstrated in this environment.

The Classica Group's microwave technology segment utilizes microwave-based technology to provide food manufacturers with the ability to deliver new and improved food products that satisfy today's consumer demands for safe foods, convenience in preparation, and quality. CMT's customers can realize significant cost savings, which can be passed on to their consumers resulting in a competitive pricing advantage.
