Sure Trace Security Corporation (Sure Trace OTC-BB: SSTY) has completed a private placement for $25 million US at an average equity investment of $0.63 per share with Can West Ventures Inc. The shares issued are 144 restricted. As a condition of the transaction, Sure Trace has agreed to cancel a previously announced Letter of Intent, announced on August 13, 2003, for a private placement financing with Cavallino Investments Ltd.

Mr. Peter Leeuwerke, CEO of Sure Trace stated, "Over the past 6 months I.D.OLOGY has developed a North American Channel Partner network to address Loss Prevention sales and has recently launched its Industrial and Brand Authentication products. From this network of sales organizations, and I.D.OLOGY's own direct sales efforts, several national and international accounts specifically seeking sole source security solutions have been developed that include products not specifically owned by I.D.OLOGY. With this investment, Sure Trace has the capital to fund planned strategic acquisitions, which will provide for these sole source security solutions and further solidify our competitive market advantage. Sure Trace is now negotiating the acquisition of these products or companies. These acquisitions will not only add the products needed to fulfill client demand but will add immediate revenue sources. In a series of moves to ensure business focus, Mr. Grahame Entwistle has been named as President of Sure Trace, Mr. Phil Viggiani has been named as President of I.D.OLOGY, and Mr. Larry Talarico has been named as Vice President Sales and Marketing of I.D.OLOGY. Mr. Bob Jennens will continue with I.D.OLOGY in the position of Director Special Projects, and will use his extensive knowledge of coded fluids to open new markets for I.D.OLOGY. Mr. Leeuwerke will remain as CEO of both Sure Trace and I.D.OLOGY.

Sure Trace has also hired Ms. Caroline Banks as its CFO. Ms. Banks completed her Bachelor of Commerce Degree at the University of Calgary in 1983, obtained her designation as a Chartered Accountant in 1987 and has completed several SEC related courses. Ms. Banks worked for a major international accounting firm post her graduation and spent the last 11 years working for a major international Oil and Gas firm. Sure Trace hired Ms. Banks as a Consultant in July to complete Sure Trace's second quarterly financial statements.

In a simultaneous move, Sure Trace has centralized its operations in Calgary, Alberta with a new 7,500 square foot office, laboratory, and manufacturing facility. The lease contains expansion rights for an additional 15,000 square feet. The facility is ideally suited for I.D.OLOGY's purposes and provides the manufacturing space required to meet client needs. A major international oil & gas research and development division formerly occupied the space. As such, much of the high tech laboratory equipment required to produce I.D.OLOGY's products is already in place, substantially lowering the cost of building a new laboratory.
