Sirenza Microdevices Introduces New Family of Low Cost

Miniature Double Balanced Mixer Product

Sirenza Microdevices (Nasdaq:SMDI SMDI Simplified Message Desk Interface (telephone network service, customer interface specification)
SMDI Station Message Desk Interface
SMDI SCSI Musical Data Interchange
SMDI Storage Module Disk Interconnect
), a leading designer and supplier of high-performance radio-frequency (RF) components for communications equipment manufacturers, today announced the introduction of the first in a new family of low cost double balanced mixers. The SPM-6-250, targeted at the wide band receiver market, has an RF and LO operating frequency range of 50 to 250MHz (MegaHertZ) One million cycles per second. It is used to measure the transmission speed of electronic devices, including channels, buses and the computer's internal clock. A one-megahertz clock (1 MHz) means some number of bits (16, 32, 64, etc.  and the IF spans DC to 150MHz. The SPM-6-250 can be used as an upconverter, down converter, or phase detection applications.

Tim Schamberger, vice president and general manager of Sirenza's signal source division, stated, "This new family of mixers with excellent conversion loss, high port to port isolation, and high IIPs performance combined with a low cost platform results in a performance/cost ratio not currently available to designers."

The SPM-6-250 is available for sample. For more detailed information regarding Sirenza's low cost double balanced mixer products, please email us at vco-apps@sirenza.com or contact our sales office at 800-SMI-MMIC (800-764-6642) or 1-303-327-3030.
