), the Worldwide Information Technology Partner for the Olympic Games, today announced that it has successfully completed and delivered the IT application solutions, called Pack4, to the ATHENS 2004, the Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games. The software delivery marks a critical milestone in the completion of the global IT infrastructure that will support the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games next summer.

"The combination of our Olympic Games experience since Salt Lake City 2002 and our knowledge transfer strategy has enabled us to deliver the IT system applications well before the Aug. 13, 2004 deadline, allowing ample time to perform extensive live testing and therefore minimize costs and risks."

The Pack4 delivery provides all the elements of the Info Diffusion System (IDS), the critical application for delivering all sports results data to various audiences. IDS applications include the Commentator Information System (CIS Cis (sĭs), same as Kish (1.)

), which pushes real-time event results and other background information to international broadcast commentators, as well as the intranet system that provides similar information on demand to the media, athletes, judges, coaches, sponsors and other Olympic Family attendees via INFO 2004 kiosks that will be located throughout Olympic venues. Also included is direct data feed to the various world news agencies and the official ATHENS 2004 Web site.

The key Pack4 activity also encompasses the completion of system applications for delivering results data for seven sport events: Taekwondo, Boxing, Mountain Bike, Fencing, Gymnastics-Trampoline, Shooting and Synchronized Swimming synchronized swimming

The applications for results data delivery of the other 30 sports disciplines of the 2004 Games have already been completed and successfully tested.
