For Third Year in a Row, SBLI USA Associates Join Thousands in Fundraising Walk and Family Fun Activities to Support Persons with Disabilities

For the third consecutive year, associates of SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company, Inc. turned out to support the YAI/National Institute for People with Disabilities' Central Park Challenge, held on Saturday, June 5th. The event raised $800,000. As a leading sponsor of the event, SBLI USA's associates and their family members participated in the day's fundraising and family fun events to help build brighter futures for people with disabilities.

The day's events began at 7:30 a.m. at the Mall near the 72nd Street transverse. The first event was a 5K run at 9:00 a.m., followed by a 3K fundraising walk at 9:45 a.m. A Junior All-American Race for children 12-and-under was also held, and plenty of free refreshments, children's activities and entertainment were provided until 1 p.m.

Celebrities included WABC-TV Anchor Bill Ritter, actor Dominic Chianese from "The Sopranos," actor David Eigenberg from "Sex and the City," Marc Coppola of Q104.3-FM, Zach Leibowitz of ESPN ESPN Entertainment and Sports Programming Network 2's "Cold Pizza" and actor Richard Kind.
