KWILL Corporation is introducing a line of video monitoring and measurement systems for use by broadcasters, production studios, cable and satellite service providers, telecommunications carriers and professional video equipment manufacturers, or in any environment where the quality of digital video needs to be assured.

KWILL's products utilize its new, patented technology called "Video DNA DNA: see nucleic acid.

." The systems use proprietary algorithms to monitor and measure digital video and audio-quality, eliminating the potential for human error. Results are reported in real-time and monitoring can be done remotely.

KWILL's products not only check signal protocol and format, but also perform quality error detection and measurement of video and audio.

"While digital video compression and transmission allow more programs to be squeezed into existing bandwidth, these technologies have also rendered conventional analog monitoring obsolete. The industry needs equipment that automates the job of video quality monitoring and measurement while at the same time delivering accurate, consistent and reliable results," Takahiro Hamada, president & CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board. , KWILL Corporation, said. "KWILL's monitoring devices not only meet those requirements, but also eliminate the potential errors that can be caused by visual inspection."

VP Series

The VP21S, designed for equipment manufacturers and production studios, performs objective quality evaluation in real-time of standard definition (SD) video, utilizing double stimulus monitoring. The system design is especially valuable for CODEC evaluation, quality assurance (QA) verification and TV broadcast system performance improvement. The VP21S can also be used for debugging encoder/decoder operations, quality evaluation of broadcast systems, automatic dubbing, DVD authoring and DVD DVD: see digital versatile disc.

The VP2000A is designed to monitor video and audio quality of live HD and SD video broadcasts in real-time from remote locations using double stimulus video monitoring.

QuMax

KWILL's QuMax system utilizes a flexible architecture that can be customized for monitoring and measurement applications in the video market. It is used mainly in the video production market for DVD authoring and player validation, dubbing quality monitoring and inspecting the quality of videos to be written to video servers. The system can be configured to monitor up to 12 single end sources in real-time for video and audio errors. The QuMax is compatible with a broad range of formats including SDTV (Standard Definition TV) A set of digital television (DTV) standards with 480 lines of resolution. All SDTV formats are interlaced, and SDTV pictures are not as sharp as progressive scan EDTV or HDTV (Enhanced Definition or High Definition).
