 a recent survey of both women and men, conducted on behalf of Gillette MACH3Turbo Champion, less is more when it comes to facial hair.

, beard and of course, stubble. When asked why they prefer clean-shaven men, women typically referenced the physical discomfort or the lack of intimacy involved in kissing someone with facial hair.

Clean-shaven men were also more likely to be perceived by women as more honest than men with facial hair. And, women find the clean-shaven look to be sexier than stubble or a moustache (48% versus 3% and 3% respectively).

Lucky for men, almost half (46%) of them sport the clean-shaven look. For those men who do choose facial hair, the goatee is the style most frequently worn with 21% of men wearing them. Stubble (12%), moustache (11%), large sideburns side·burns

When men were asked who most influenced their facial hairstyle, women topped the list, with male friends following a distant second place. Additionally, a significant number of women (29 %) said that men should shave every day -- even on weekends.
