COREL SIGNS AGENCIES TO EXPAND CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT

 Alexander & Lord and Software Support to Provide
 Corel Customers with Increased Access To Customer Services
 Corel Corporation (NASDAQ: COSFF) announced today agreements with two new agencies to expand their customer service and technical support. Positioned as an extension of Corel's in-house services, the companies will provide services that will be totally transparent to the customer. Alexander & Lord will provide pre-sales and order processing support, and Software Support will complement Corel's technical support services for CorelDRAW for Windows. With the new agencies in place, Corel will continue to ensure customers of prompt and efficient service during peak periods in call volume for technical support and customer service.

 Effective mid April, calls that exceed Corel's in-house customer service and technical resources will be automatically and transparently rerouted to Alexander & Lord and Software Support for their respective services. Customers will still be able to dial the regular Corel 1-800 numbers for customer service or (613) 728-1990 for CorelDRAW technical support.
 PRIORITY TECHNICAL SUPPORT NOW AVAILABLE
 With the new agencies on-board, Corel has also announced the availability of new priority technical support services. Accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year, the new priority service is available through Software Support in three plans:
 ONE YEAR SUPPORT PLAN
 The One Year Support Plan gives customers access to technical support as often as they require throughout the year. The plan offers cross-application support for CorelDRAW, hundreds of other leading applications, and operating systems. This plan, which uses a 1-800 number, is available for $175 US per year.
 90 DAY SUPPORT PLAN
 The 90 Day Support Plan is designed to support customers through the initial set-up and installation of their newly purchased CorelDRAW. Similar to the One Year plan the 90 Day plan offers unlimited support with a toll-free number and is available 24 hours a day. The plan which offers technical support for CorelDRAW, operating systems and hundreds of other applications is available for only $49.95 US.
 900 HELPLINE
 Software support also offers a Pay-as-You-Go HelpLine that provides users with another option for technical support. The 900 HelpLine is also available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, everyday of the year by calling 1-900-329-HELP (4357). Each 900 HelpLine costs $2.95 per minute. At the end of a call, customers will have the option of applying the 900 support charge -- up to $50 -- toward the purchase price of a One Year Support Plan.
