CORE Realty Holdings' President & CEO Russ Colvin Receives Prestigious "Jack Webb Award" for Service from the L.A. Police Historical Society.

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. -- Russ Colvin, President and Chief Executive Officer of CORE Realty Holdings, LLC, recently was honored by the Los Angeles Police Historical Society at ceremonies during the "Jack Webb Awards Dinner" held September 9 at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City.

This year's ceremony was titled "A Legacy of Service" and also honored Johnny Grant, unofficially "Mayor of Hollywood" and creator of Hollywood's "Walk of Fame," and Cynthia Brown, publisher of "American Police Beat" magazine.

Colvin and the other recipients were singled out this year for "C*their respective positions, lives and pursuits (and)C*a sustaining commitment to law enforcement." In particular, "C*Russ Colvin has a long history of assisting law enforcement in both Los Angeles and Orange Counties."

Among many community activities over the years devoted to law enforcement and youth, Mr. Colvin is a life member of the Orange County Sheriff's Advisory Council; a member of the board of directors of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Youth Foundation, and chairman of the development committee; a member of the board of directors of Olive Crest Homes and Services for Abused Children, The Los Angeles Police Historical Society; and a member of the board of trustees of the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundation.

The award was named after Jack Webb, the creator and/or star of such television programs devoted to police work as "Dragnet," "Emergency" and "Adam 12."

Previous "Jack Webb Award" winners include California Senator Dianne Feinstein; former Los Angeles Mayor Richard Riordan; former California Governor Pete Wilson; Bruce Karatz, Chairman and CEO of Kaufman & Broad; and entertainers Jay Leno, Jack Nicholson and Dennis Franz, in addition to Steven Bochco, the creator of television programs such as "Hill Street Blues," "LA Law" and "NYPD Blue."
