CORE Group Marketing announced the promotion of Fredrik Eklund from senior vice president to managing director. Eklund is a founding member of the firm. In addition to working closely with Osher on corporate expansion, Eklund will soon begin his first uptown project, the super luxurious 949 Park Avenue. In 2007 alone, Eklund topped the charts with over $250 million in residential sales while setting all-time price records in 27 downtown buildings. 52E4th Street, the all glass, 15-story masterpiece in Noho, has been a particular standout project for Eklund. Eklunds's other record-breaking projects include The Onyx Chelsea, The Emory, The William Beaver House and 290 Mulberry. Eklund has acquired over $200 million in sales around the globe, specializing in London, Singapore and Hong Kong. Eklund's more unique listings include a 225-acre island in Fiji. Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, Eklund studied at the Stockholm School of Economics. At the age of 23, he founded an Internet company with over 45 employees, and went on to work for the investment bank SEB in Stockholm, London, Singapore and Tokyo before arriving in New York.
