Lar Corbett (Byrnsie) was born in Thurles, County Tipperary in 1981.
 has identified county team-mate Seamus Callinan as the main threat to Thurles Sarsfields' hopes of coming up trumps in Sunday's Tipperary county hurling hurling, outdoor ball and stick game similar to field hockey (see hockey, field). The national pastime of Ireland, it was played for many centuries before the Gaelic Athletic Association standardized the rules in 1884.  final against close neighbours Drom and Inch.

Corbett knows all about the pain of finishing up on the losing end in the Tipp final, having tasted defeat on no fewer than five occasions, as against one victory in 2005.
