Five Key Executives Appointed to European Sales Operation

 regions. With a broad IT background and over two decades of experience in information technology, Veale brings valued sales experience in the storage industry to the company. He will be tasked with driving value through the delivery of innovative MAID-based storage solutions to International customers beyond the US market, championing COPAN's European expansion and establishing the company's presence as a key player in the international storage industry. He will report into Mark Ward, President and CEO (1) (Chief Executive Officer) The highest individual in command of an organization. Typically the president of the company, the CEO reports to the Chairman of the Board.  of COPAN Systems.

Veale joins COPAN Systems from EMC Corporation where he held a number of executive positions, most recently as vice president of its Northern EMEA region. During his tenure, he was instrumental in driving the company's partnership with Fujitsu Siemens and integrating solutions to provide customers with the most effective tools to ensure their information is protected and available. Prior to this role, Veale also held executive positions at IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries) , Hitachi Data Systems See HDS. , and Sun Microsystems.

Mick Bradley joins Veale's team as vice president of International Services and Support. Mick joins COPAN from Pillar Data Systems where, as Technology Solution Director for EMEA, he was instrumental in setting up Pillar's EMEA services capability.

Martin Firth joins COPAN Systems UK as Vice President of UK operations, with Steve Wilson supporting him in a UK System Engineering role. Firth joins COPAN Systems from EMC (1) (EMC Corporation, Hopkinton, MA, www.emc.com) The leading supplier of storage products for midrange computers and mainframes. Founded in 1979 by Richard J. Egan and Roger Marino, EMC has developed advanced storage and retrieval technologies for the world's largest companies.  UK where he was the Enterprise Sales Director for more than five years. With his combined market knowledge and experience, Firth will drive the UK sales operation and will report directly to Veale. Joining from Pillar Data Systems where he held the position of EMEA System Engineering Manager, Wilson will be responsible for leading the UK Pre-sales & solutions team. Both will be based in the new EMEA headquarters in Chertsey, UK.
