COORS NAMES CHIEF ENVIRONMENTAL, HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER

GOLDEN, Colo., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Sandra Woods has been named to the new post of vice president and chief environmental, health and safety officer for Coors Brewing Co. The announcement was made today by Peter Coors, chief executive officer, Coors Brewing.
Woods, formerly the company's chief environmental officer, takes on an expanded role with responsibility for corporate public policy formulation and strategic direction for environmental, health and safety matters. She reports to Peter Coors.
"There is a great deal of interaction between environmental, health and safety policies, so bringing them together under one officer makes it more efficient to coordinate and integrate these critical responsibilities," Peter Coors said. "I am pleased to have Sandra lead the effort to assure the most effective use of the tremendous resources directed to these areas of our business."
In 1981, Woods became the first female vice president at Coors. From 1980-1993, Woods led major business efforts, which included creating a self-supporting, independent real estate development and management company, resolving a decade-long water conflict with Denver area municipalities, and developing a major policy and program initiative for a corporate-wide environmental program.
Woods just completed a two-year term as chairperson of The Greater Denver Corp. She is a board member of the Kansas City District of the Federal Reserve Bank, Denver branch.
Woods lives in Golden with her husband, Gary, and their two children.
